Welcome to Black $treet Investment Club, Inc’s (“B$IC”) website.  Black $treet Investment Club (“B$IC”) was formed in September 2000 by Sheryl Ridley-Dorsey, CPA, M.A.   B$IC has a membership of 16 young men between the ages of 10 and 16.  The group meets every third Wednesday at one of the local banks. 

The mission of Black $treet Investment Club, Inc. is to educate our young men on how to invest successfully and for a lifetime.  This goal is accomplished by inviting high-caliber speakers from the finance world to our monthly meetings.  When speakers are not in attendance, Ms. Dorsey introduces to the members various investments and business topics.  Below are just a few of the topics our members have learned at the monthly meetings:

• Personal Finances Skills/Techniques
• How to Invest and Understand the Stock Market
• The Importance of Maintaining a Diversified Investment Portfolio
• Prepare and Understand Basic Financial Statements
• Prepare and Understand Basic Tax Returns
• Leadership Skills
• Public Speaking Skills/Selling Techniques
• Learn how to operate a corporation by running their own business (tee shirts).
